Alaina 2 MONTHS

Alaina is growing up way too fast. She now looks around and stays awake much longer. She is still a little colicky but not as bad as it was! She "plays" with any of her toys that hang above her now by batting at them. She gets so excited when she hits one. I am not sure it is intentional yet but it is fun to watch!

She is going to be our thumb sucker.

She smiles so cute!!!! She reminds me so much of Sammy when she smiles.

At her 2 month check up on 8/8 she was 9 lbs. 12 ozs and 22.5 inches long. The doctor said she was in the 50th percentile and thought she was bigger than Sam was but I looked it up and she was actually about 4 ozs lighter and half an inch smaller.

Alaina's Baptism 8/3

We decided to have Alaina's Baptism while Great Grandma and Auntie Amy were in town. So after having to negotiate with the church in July to let us have it August 3rd we were successful. Thank you Lord for letting it be a wonderful day.

Grandma AndersonThe dress Alaina wore was the one my Mom made for Samantha. It is made of the same fabric my wedding dress was made of. I couldn't get a good shot in the dress. Hopefully my Mom got a better picture.

Grandma McGinnis decided Alaina needed a second dress for when we got back to the house. She made this on Saturday in about 1 hour.

Visitors

Andy's Grandma came from Arizona for a visit.

I am already crazy with matching outfits for the girls.

Sammy loves to talk to Alaina and Alaina smiles and "talks" to Sammy a lot! It is so cute.

Arboretum 7/26/08

We finally took Becky's advice and took the girls to the Morton Arboretum. They have changed it so much in the last few years and it was a great day!!!! Sammy loved the frog water fountains and walking in the streams..which she managed to find the one pile of mud to fall in.

We got to use our new sit and stand stroller for the first time and it worked well.

Countdown...

I can't believe I have to return to work in one week....
I am trying to catch up on things over the next 5 days...sorry for being MIA lately.

Potty Time

Just as an update:
Sammy is going Poopy on the potty!!!! She did it the night of my birthday like I told her I wanted and she has had to be bribed a bit but she now goes about every other day!!!!
Sorry for the TMI but this is a big accomplishment for us!
Sammy insisted we take a picture to prove it but I didn't think I should blog it.
My child is camera warped!
